Parent Council

Under the new legislation, the Scottish Schools (Parental Involvement) Act 2006 a ‘Parent Forum’ for Kingspark School was formed and the establishment of a sub-group to represent the forum known as the ‘Parent Council’. The Council has a constitution and minutes of each meeting are sent to the Education Department. The Parent Council seeks to promote the involvement of all parents in their children’s education in a more meaningful way. The functions of this body are clearly defined within the terms of the Act, but will still allow for the excellent work of the PSA to continue raising much-needed money for our pupils

There is a Parent Group who meet last Tuesday of every month at 10 a.m.  within the school.  It is an opportunity for parents/carers to meet and discuss issues pertinent to the group.  They formulate their own agenda for these meetings and the school support this group to take forward any training/talks they would like organised.  The Parent Council meets once per term and is open to all parents and members of staff.

The Chairperson of the Kingspark Parent Council is Mrs Katie Radtke, and contact can be made via the school office on telephone number 01382 432650 or the school e-mail address kingspark@dundeecity.gov.uk.
